Let me introduce myself..

So, first and foremost... let me introduce myself: Hey y'all, I'm Jessica. Or Jessica Lynne, but my daddy-in-law calls me mighty mouse. I'm 22 years young, and I've been married to my marine, David Downs <3 for a year and some change. We're stationed on the island of Oahu (oh-ah-who), HI. We currently live in Pearl City. You can actually see Pearl Harbor from our bedroom window. It's crazy to imagine that I now live in paradise. I never would have imagined. Unfortunately, David and I don't have any (human) children yet. But, we do have two babies, whom we love and spoil rotten.

Georgia & Bella

David and I are from Daytona Beach, Florida. We went to high school together, and initially met in AFJROTC. We both have a Southern state of mind. If you're from the South and lived elsewhere, you know exactly what I mean. Our families play a very big role in our lives. & neither of us would have it any other way.

So back to present times. This week has been torture. Mostly yesterday... The red clay on the island is TERRIBLE. & my monsters love to dig in it. So I vacuum the floors, and then give them a good mopping. I decide it's time to let my critters in, and to my horror... THERE ARE PAW PRINTS EVERYWHERE. I don't know why I was so bothered by this, but I just started crying. I was  SO SO SO upset. I guess it's stress generated from bills, and debt. Not to mention I'm trying to plan a wedding for us... in Florida. Of course I'm sure it also has alot to with how much I miss my momma and gramma. Moving to this duty station is the first time I have ever lived farther than 3 hours away. I guess I didn't realize how much I would really miss them. Ain't that something.

It's almost Halloween, and it's still 82 degrees out every day. I miss the seasons. But, I sure am glad that the holidays are here. I'll be busy as a bee, and I love that. I can't wait to see all the little kids dressed up for pumkin night. It brings back such fond memories. The Marine Corps ball next Friday, which I have yet to buy a dress for. Procrastination at it's best ;D After that comes my favorite of favorites! Thanksgiving. I simply cannot wait to cook for everyone. I have so much to be thankful for this year! & it's my first Thanksgiving where I am cooking alone. I guess my skills will be put to the test. I'll let you know how it turns out. After Thanksgiving, is my birthday! The big 23! & Then on to Christmas. I can't wait to decorate the house! Let me know if you have any tips or ideas! I'm always open to new things to try.
I do need to run though, the carpets aren't going to vacuum themselves! I wish they did though! Y'all have a nice day, or night.. depending on where you are!

All my love,
Jessica Lynne

Oh, & PS; if you could help me out with the layout on this thing, I would really appreciate a point in the right direction :D
